Attorney

Michael B. Efron is an associate attorney with Kring & Chung, LLP in the Irvine office. His practice includes the handling of family law matters including marital dissolution, community property divisions, quasi-community property distributions, child support, spousal/partner support, modification hearings, adoptions, and pre-nuptial agreements, with a special emphasis in dealing with District Attorneys and Local Child Support Agencies in child support related matters.

As a former Superior Court of California, County of Orange attorney, Mr. Efron acted as a Settlement Officer for the Self-Represented Party's Calendar, assisting self-represented litigants with dissolution and parentage actions, including dividing property, calculation of child and spousal/partner support, and custody and visitation issues.

As a former Deputy Department Counsel, Mr. Efron prosecuted over 1500 child support and parentage hearings on behalf of the Department of Child Support Services of Orange County. Mr. Efron perfected his skills in child support related issues while serving as a member of the Orange County Department of Child Support Services, formally of the Orange County District Attorney's Family Support Division. During his tenure, he was honored with a state certification from the California Department of Child Support Services. This certification allows Mr. Efron the opportunity to train other child support professionals in any one of California's fifty-eight counties' Local Child Support Agencies.

Mr. Efron earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Western State University College of Law in Fullerton, California. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in the area of Management, from California State University, Fullerton.

Mr. Efron is an active member of the State Bar of California, the United States District Court, Central District, the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Los Angeles Lawyers Club.
